Love in the City

I’m just gonna start by saying, I love, LOVE! I love to celebrate the love I have for the people in my life. Sure, I’ve never had a romantic Valentine’s Day date; but I’ve always been the girl gushing while passing out cards & cupcakes to all my friends and going to see the sappiest Nicholas Sparks movie with my mom. Valentine’s Day isn’t just a holiday for people that have a significant other, but if you do, that makes it all the more special! Whether you’ll be on a magical date night or drowning your single sorrows in endless wine & dessert, I got the best places to celebrate in the city covered!

February Tunes Tuesday

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

HAPPY FEBRUARY! If you’re a typical music fanatic like me, you’ve probably have been going into hyper mode with all the AWESOME tours coming to Pittsburgh this spring. Every time I turn my head a new tour is being announced. If you’re a fangirl you know this NEVER HAPPENS. Great for my ears, absolutely terrible for my wallet. #yikes

I rounded up some of the music I’ve been listening to in the new year and where you can catch ’em live this spring!

Misterwives // February 27 // Stage AE

Shoutout to my roomie for introducing me to them! Diggin’ it.

Listen: Reflections (and every remix ever made of it)

Chris Jamison // March 1st // The Altar Bar

Third place winner of ‘The Voice’ and a North Hills native.

Listen: Velvet Acoustic

Cartel // April 16 // The Altar Bar

These guys just announced a 10th Anniversary tour and it’s going be EVERYTHING.

Listen: Entire Album – Chroma

All Time Low // May 21 // Stage AE Outdoors

If you’re a ATL fan you’ve probably been lucky enough to see them live (their Pittsburgh frequents) but each time you scream their songs at the top of your lungs it will be like the first time.

Listen: So Wrong, It’s Right

Taylor Swift // June 6 // Heinz Field

Queen.

Listen: 1989, Need I say more?

Train, Matt Nathanson, The Fray // June 30 // First Niagara Pavillon

WHAT A COMBINATION. Last summer I saw American Authors, The Script with One Republic headlining and it was one of the best shows I went to all summer. I’m thinking the vibe is going to be similar and I’m super excited about it.

Listen: Bulletproof Picasso – Train

Some Mad Hope – Matt Nathanson

Personally a fan of the self-title album – The Fray

Hoodie Allen, Fall Out Boy, Wiz Khalifa // July 2nd // First Niagara Pavillon

#BoysofZummer tour !! Really excited to see a Pittsburgh native headlining a huge summer tour and making a stop in his hometown. Hoodie Allen didn’t come here on his last tour and i have been PATIENTLY waiting to see him. Fall Out Boy = middle school so basically this is a show you don’t want to miss.

Listen: All American – Hoodie Allen

American Beauty/American Psycho – FOB

Warped Tour // July 9th // First Niagara Pavilion

Not a whole lot of bands have been announced but the list as it stands today can be found here! Never been to Warped Tour? Check out my Warped Tour Survival Guide!
